It is quite difficult for Nigerians to purchase locally made goods, we prefer foreign goods because we think it is the best in terms of durability and reliability based on the measures that have been put in place by their government to ensure that they are export worthy and certified for utilization. In my view, the only way Nigerians can be encouraged to patronise locally made goods is by ensuring the products are durable, fit for consumption if it applies to fast moving goods, well branded and by selling the products at a reduced or discounted price for people to try out. If they see that the products are good they will continue to patronize it and inform others thereby promoting maximum utilization.
